An adverb is mostly a kind of description of what a person is doing; sort of like a verb or adjective (but not really for adj.)  An easy way to find an adverb is looking to see if it has an -ly on the end.  Examples would be

-Happily (he danced HAPPILY)

-Angrily (she threw it ANGRILY)

-Greedily (he grabbed it GREEDILY)

-There (It's over THERE)

-Later (I'll do it LATER)
