an affidavit is a document containing the details about the members like , assets, income etc.. who is going to contest election.

Affidavit is basically a document which contains the criminal record and the property of a person who is going to stand in the elections.
This has to be submitted to the government to assure that the person is not a criminal or does not own any illegal property..
