The alpha particle is a helium nucleus; it consists of twoprotons and two neutrons. It contains no electrons to balance the two positively charged protons. Alpha particles are therefore positively charged particles moving at high speeds. Beta particles are emitted byneutron rich unstable nuclei.

an alpha particle consist of two proton and 2 neutron it is actually the nucleus of helium . it's mass is 6.68 ×10^-27 kg and having a charge of 3.2 ×10^-19 C
beta particle is actually the fast moving electron it is emitted when an unstable nucleus contain neutron more than proton then one neutron is converted into one proton and one electron since there is no place of electron in nucleus it given out at very high speed
it's mass is 9.1×10^-31 kg charge - 1.6 ×10^-19 C
