What is an atom? explain

\huge\mathfrak\red{Answer}

Defination of Atom

The smallest particle of an element, which may or may not have an independent existence but always takes place in a chemical reaction is called an atom.

Types of atoms

Atoms consist of three groups of smaller particles, called protons (which are charged positively), neutrons (which have no charge) and electrons (which are charged negatively). The protons and neutrons are heavier, so they remain in the core of the nucleus. The nucleus is called them.

Structure of atoms

An atom is composed of three particles, namely, neutrons, protons and electrons with hydrogen as an exception without neutrons

Work of atom

The protons and neutrons are packed together into the center of the atom (which is called the nucleus) and the much smaller electrons, whizzing around the outside. When people draw images of atoms they show the electrons like satellites spinning in orbits around the Earth.

Hope it helps you dear
