Explanation:

Echo: Echo can be defined as the sound heard by the listener with some delay after the direct sound is produced from the source. It is the phenomenon of the reflection of the sound from any surface and its arrival after some delay to the listener.

The delay time in the sound is directly proportional to the distance of the surface of reflection from the source of the sound and the listener of the sound.

Important factors for Distinct Echo production:

  • The minimum distance between the source and the reflecting surface must be 17.2 m atleast.
  • The reflecting surface must be sufficiently large to reflect the sound of a certain wavelength.
  • The time interval between the sound produced and the listened must be of minimum 0.1 seconds.
