The first eclipsing binary detected was Algol, β Perseus, also known as the Demon star possibly due to its changing brightness. As with spectroscopic binaries, the two stars in an eclipsing system are physically close and are often distorted by each other.

HEYA!!!!

Gd evening....

here is your answer------>>>

\huge\pink{Eclipsing\:binary}

When two stars orbit each other and both comes in our line of sight brightness variations take palace due to one eclipsing other.

Explanation:-----

One star goes in front and back of other making changes in brightness..From distance we see only one star so suspect it to be a variable.But the variations are due to eclipsing effect

#hope it helps you....

Plzz mark it as brainliest..... ^·^
