electric charge is a physical property of matter that caused in to experience a force when placed in an Electromagnetic field there are two types of electric charges positive and negative like charges repel and unlike attack.

These experiments show that charges are of two types: one which is developed in the glass rod on rubbing it with silk and the other which is developed in the ebonite rod on rubbing it with cat-skin.
