what is an electric fuse ? should it be placed on neutral or live wire ? explain it's working .

Fuse should be placed on live wire because the live wire has the higher voltage.
If the live wire is damaged inside the appliance and a large current is created, then the fuse needs to be in this part of the circuit so that it can blow.
