➠ AnSwer :-

  • A galvanic cell is an electrochemical cell that converts the chemical energy of a spontaneous redox reaction into electrical energy.

⟹Construction :-

  • Galvanic cell is made up of two half cells i.e., anodic and cathodic. The cell reaction is of redox kind. Oxidation takes place at anode and reduction at cathode.

⟹Working :-

  • During a redox reaction, a galvanic cell utilizes the energy transfer between electrons to convert chemical energy into electric energy.
  • A galvanic cell can be made out of any two metals.
  • These two metals can form the anode and the cathode if left in contact with each other.

° Galvanic Cell :--

→ A galvanic cell is an electrochemical cell that converts chemical energy of a spontaneous redox reaction into electrical energy .

# Functions :-

  • Spontaneous then ΔG = -ve .

  • In this device ΔG of spontaneous redox reaction is converted into electrical work ( which may be used for running a motor, fan, heater, etc. ) .

# Construction :-

→ It consist of two mettalic electrodes dipping in electrolytic solution.

→ The solution in two compartment is connected through an inverted U shaped tube containing a mixture of agar -agar jelly and an electrolyte like KCl, KNO_{3}, etc. .

Digram is in the attachment, kindly go throw it while reading the constructions .

Hope this will help you ;)
