Electromagnet is a magnet which is made into a magnet by the passage of electricity.the magnetic field is produced by electric current. The electromagnet will loose it's magnetic power in the absence of supply of electricity.

electromagnet is the magnet where a magnetic field is produced by an electric current.When current passes through the coil it become magnetized, and when current stops, the coil become de-magnetized.
