Explanation:

We can temporarily magnetise a material like soft iron by producing a magnetic field that will lead to flow of current in a coil or a solenoid. On a soft iron piece an insulated copper wire is wrapped and when current is passed through the coil by using a battery and a key then iron piece behaves like a bar magnet till the current is passing through it.

This type of magnet is known as an electromagnet. The diagram showing electromagnet is shown below in the diagram.
