what is an ellipse?? i couldn't understand by the first video....and what is and elliptical orbit?

 Ecllipse;an obscurring of light from one celestial body by the passage of another between it & the observer or between it and its source of illumination.
Elliptical orbit;are the paths taken by objects as they fly around a massive object,such as the sun or earth.
