An empire is a basically a political body which is often regarded as the reign of that body. An empire refers to the region under the control of that body where the decision is taken by the monarch. There is a monarchial form of government in most of the the cases. The word 'Empire' has been derived from the two words 'Emperor' and 'Ire' which means the 'region of a King'. An empire is originally a group of different territories ruled over by an Emperor. This emperor is the head of the empire and has the right to impose any duty over it.
