m=(y2−y1)/(x2−x1)

Take (x2−x1) to the left across the = sign remembering that if originally was dividing, passing the equal sign, it will now multiply:

(x2−x1)m=y2−y1

Next we take y1 to the left remembering to change of operation again: from subtraction to sum:

(x2−x1)m+y1=y2

Now we can "read" the rearranged expression in terms of y2 as:

y2=(x2−x1)m+y1

your question is incomplete , A complete question is -----> The slope, m, of a linear equation can be found using the formula m = y2-y1/x2-x1 , where the x- and y-values come from two ordered pairs, and (x1, y1) and (x2, y2).
What is an equivalent equation solved for y2?

(a) y2 = mx2 – x1 + y1
(b) y2 = mx2 – x1 – y1
(c)y2 = m(x2 – x1) + y1
(d)y2 = m(x2 – x1) – y1

solution :- given,
The slope, m, of a linear equation can be found using the formula m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
m(x2 - x1) = y2 - y1
m(x2 - x1) + y1 = y2
y2 = m(x2 - x1) + y1
hence, y2 = m(x2 - x1) + y1 is an equivalent equation solved for y2

hence, option (c) is correct.
