  • Indicator is a substance that changes its colour in basic medium and acidic.
  • It shows one color in an acidic medium and different color in basic
  • This is also artificial or natural substances
  • Artificial Indicator is prepared from artificial chemicals or synthetically (laboratory) Example : Methyle orange , Phenolphthalein etc..
  • Natural indicators are indicators derived from naturally (material) Example : Turmeric, red cabbage , litmus etc..
  • It gives a visible sign
  • Olfactory indicators are which giev different odors in basic medium and acidic Example : onion , vanilla essence, essence types etc.. which gives smell
