An instruction is a binary pattern intended inside the microprocessor to perform a particular function.
The complete groups of these instructions are known as an instruction set.
At the initial level, each instruction is a sequence of 1s and 0s that expresses a physical operation the computer is to perform and, depending on the specific instruction type, the pattern of special storage areas called registers that may contain data to be used in implementing the instruction.
