What is an isosceles trapezium? ↓
isosceles trapezoid is a convex quadrilateral with a line of symmetry bisecting one pair of opposite sides. It is a special case of a trapezoid. Alternatively, it can be defined as a trapezoid in which both legs and both base angles are of the same measure.
Find the measure of fourth side of the isosceles trapezi if three of its consecutive sides are 4 cm, 5 cm and 10 cm respectively. ↓
side 1 (base) = 5 cm,
side 2 = 6 cm,
side 3 (base) = 8 cm.
So, side 4 = 6 cm, just like side 2.
This is because 2 sides will be equal in an isosceles trapezium. Since side 1 and side 3 isnt the same, side 4 will be the same as side 2, that is 6cm
