what is an overall text structure
Answers
A text structure is how the information is organized in a text. There are 6 different types of text structures, which are:
Cause and effect, where the results of something are explained;
Chronological, where the text is organized in order with no flashbacks or flashforwards (basically the story is told as it is from start to finish without interferences);
Compare and contrast, where two or more things are described and compared;
Order of importance, where things are told based on the priorities of the text;
Problem and solution, where a problem is described in the text and is given a solution;
Spacial writing, where the information is described in order of space (when describing a room for example, in descriptive writing you'd start from all the objects on your right, then the ones on your left and so on);
