A text structure is how the information is organized in a text. There are 6 different types of text structures, which are:

Cause and effect, where the results of something are explained;

Chronological, where the text is organized in order with no flashbacks or flashforwards (basically the story is told as it is from start to finish without interferences);

Compare and contrast, where two or more things are described and compared;

Order of importance, where things are told based on the priorities of the text;

Problem and solution, where a problem is described in the text and is given a solution;

Spacial writing, where the information is described in order of space (when describing a room for example, in descriptive writing you'd start from all the objects on your right, then the ones on your left and so on);
