Anabolism is the synthetic reaction in which some product is formed by combination while catabolism is the breakdown reaction which involves breakdown of substance took place.
for ex -conversion of amino acid into proteins is a anabolic rxn while conversion of proteins into amino acid is a catabolic rxn.
