Anamolus growth :- In many plants, the pattern of the secondary thickening shows deviation from the normal type. Any deviation in the pattern of development in Primary and secondary structure is called “Anomalous secondary growth”

Boerhavia stem :- The stem of Boerhaavia contain well defined anomalous secondary growth which is characterized by the presence of successive rings of xylem and phloem (vascular bundles). Outer most ring of the vascular bundles contain inter-fascicular cambium which is absent in other two rings.
