Anatropous ovule: In this type of ovules the body of the ovule completely turned at 180° angle, because of unilateral growth of funiculus that's why it is also known as inverted ovule. The hilum & micropyle lie side by side very close to each other.This ovule is found in 80 percent families of Angiosperms but not in Capsella.The chalaza and micropyle lie in a straight line. In this ovule micropyle is facing downward condition. This is the most common type of ovule of angiosperms it is considered as a "typical ovule" of Angiosperms. It is also known as resupinate ovule.
