A prism has an angle of 60 degrees and its incident angle is 48 degrees. What is the least deviation angle? Least angle of deviation (orangle of minimum deviation) is 36 degrees. Here, in case of minimum deviation, where theprism angle is 60 degrees, i and e would be equal to each other.

“The angle between two surfaces of a prism is known as refracting angle or angle of prism.” ... In other words, we say that after passing through prism the ray of light deviates through a certain angle from its original path.It is angle of deviation.
