What is anhydrous and what is hydrous?

Anhydrous means 0 percent water whereas hydrous means containing water.

Anhydrous is a condition when a chemical compound does not have any water of crystallization. For example, anhydrous sodium carbonate (Na2CO3)

And, as you must have guessed it, hydrous is exactly the opposite. For example, Na2CO3. 10H2O
