Animal husbandry is the branch of agriculture concerned with animals that are raised for meat, fibre, milk, eggs, or other products. It includes day-to-day care, selective breeding and the raising of livestock.

The taking care , breeding , management of cattle and animals like cows or buffalo for the production of dairy products like milk , ghee etc. is known as cattle farming / animal husbandry. In addition to the quality of food these animals also need to a place to graze and to move about freely.
