What is anode and cathode?
What are the charges of anode , cathode , anion and cation ?

basically ..........
anode and cathode refers to ionic charged rods in electrolytic process 
where ,  anode attracts impurities
and cathode attracts pure metal .
cathode is +ve charged (same charge of cation)
and
anode is -ve charged .(same charge of anion)
