taking equation 2

X=3-2y____3

substituting X=3-2y on equation 1

7x-15y=2

7(3-2y)+15y=2

21-14y-15y=2

-29y= 2-21

-29y= -19

y= 19/29 ( minus sign cancelled out)

now substituting the value of y on 2 equation

X+2y=3

x+2(19/29)=3

x+38/29=3

X+38=29×3 ( cross multiplying 3 )

X+38=87

X= 87-38

x= 49

hence the value of x=49 and y= 19/29
