tn=a+(n-1)d

t17=200+(17-1)x 50

=200+16 X 50

=200+800

=1000

his first month's saving a = ₹200

2nd month = ₹250

sequence of his savings

200, 250, 300, 350......

common difference d= 250-200 = ₹50

no. of months n = 17

his total savings of 17 months will be

= n/2 *[ 2a + (n - 1)d ]

= (17/2)* [2(200) + (17-1)50]

= (17/2) * [400 + 800)

= 17 × 1200/2

= ₹10200

Answer: ₹10200
