1. a + 15d = 100

we know that,

an = a + (n - 1)d

Here, an = 100

n - 1 = 15

n = 16

2. Given,

AP : -43, -37, -31,....

a = -43

n = 10

d = - 37 - (-43)

= -37 + 43

= 6

an = a + (n-1)d

a 10 = -43 + (10 - 1) 6

= -43 + 54

= 11

3. False, n of an AP can never be negative.

4. a = 14

a 12 = 124

an = a + (n - 1) d

124 = 14 + (12 - 1)d

110 = 11d

d = 10
