Answer:

a) float

b) bacteria

c) microscope

d) crops

e) yeast

Explanation:

  1. Damaged seeds float on top of the water because when seeds get partially eaten or damaged by the insects or they are infected by a plant disease, then they become hollow and light and start to float on the water. Whereas healthy seeds being heavier settle down at the bottom.
  2. The causative microorganism for cholera disease is a bacterium. A bacterium called Vibrio Cholerae causes cholera disease. It is a communicable disease therefore it spreads by food and water.
  3. Microorganisms are the organisms which are too small to be seen with the naked eye. Therefore we need a microscope with high magnification power to see them. Classifications of microorganisms are: Bacteria, Protozoa, Viruses, Algae and Fungi.
  4. When the same kinds of plants are grown in the fields on a large scale to obtain food, then it is called as a crop. Crops are of twp types: Rabi and Kharif crops.
  5. During fermentation process, yeast multiplies in the sugar solution (sugar acts as a food for the yeast) and respires anaerobically. Then the dugar solution gets converted into alcohol and carbon dioxide gas is released during this process.
