U became an MLA from BJP party , after sometime u decided to leave BJP and enter into Congress .

If u entered into Congress then u will loss ur seat of MLA .

  • Anti-defection law says that a member who is elected for Parliament or legislative assembly (MLA / MP) in an election can not be joined in the other parties.
  • This is applicable until the next election is conducted.
  • If he/she does that he/she will lose their portion.
  • This law was passed in the year of 1985.
  • During Rajiv Gandhi as prime minister, this law was included in the Indian Constitution as a part of 10th Schedule.
