Antimatter is made out of antiparticles, basically a particle opposite another. Antiparticles have the same properties and mass of its opposite, just an opposite charge. For example, the antimatter version of an election is called a positron and it has a positive charge. When antimatter and matter come into contact, they destroy each other and turn into a photon. If antimatter the size of a asteroid crashed into the earth, the world would be destroyed.
