HIII MATE!!!!!!!

HERE IS YOUR ANSWER!!!!!!!

Antiketogenic hormones: are those hormones which inhibit the formation of ketone bodies in the human body.  Our body uses glucose as respiratory substrate. When it is not available, the body breaks down fats to derive energy. Along the breakdown of fats, ketone bodies are formed which are harmful for the body. So all those hormones which promote the production or synthesis of glucose can be called antiketogenic hormones.

EX: Insulin, Glucagon

Anti-ketogenic hormones are hormones that inhibit or suppress the ketone bodies formation.

Explanation:

  • Ketone bodies are the molecules which are one of the products of fat burning during periods of  starvation, carbohydrate restrictive diets.
  • They are produced in the liver.
  • As these are not required for the cellular processes, they accumulate in the cells leads to severe problems.
  • Hormones are chemical substances that are produced by the endocrine gland.
  • They are signaling molecules which are required in small quantities for the cellular processes.
  • They are transported to the target organs/cells through blood circulation.
  • Antiketogenic hormones trigger the synthesis of glucose molecules from the substrate.
  • Thus it prevents the breakdown of fat molecules in the body which results in the formation of ketones.
  • Glucagon and Insulin are examples of anti-ketogenic hormones.
