a) In modern physics, antimatter is defined as matter that is composed of the antiparticles of the corresponding particles of "ordinary" matter.

b) Antimatter is used in medicine. PET (positron emission tomography) uses positrons to produce high-resolution images of the body. Positron-emitting radioactive isotopes (like the ones found in bananas) are attached to chemical substances such as glucose that are used naturally by the body.

c) Now you can destroy all life on earth using only about 6E4 kg of antimatter, only 60 metric tons of the good stuff.

Answer:

1.

Antimatter is the opposite of the normal matter which is existing. It is composed of the anti-particles. Many scientists and researchers believed that every matter or particle which is existing in this universe has its companion anti matter, which is of the same nature but has a opposite charge of it or we can say the opposite of that particular matter or particle.

2.

We use antimatter to produce high resolution images, in which the particles of antimatter are used that is antiparticles. They are also used in medical imaging.

3.

Scientists and researchers are not that much interested in antimatter or in creating it. There is inefficiency of transformation of energy into the antimatter, it is little safe. The physicists say 'No' to this question but when the matter and antimatter meet together, their masse gets converted to energy and there is big explosion.
