In optics,
aperture is the diameter of the part of the optical system that is exposed to light. Depending upon the optical system the size of the aperture may be fixed or variable.

aperature is the part of the optic lens or mirrors from which reflection and refraction takes place respectively. it ia the part of the mirror or lens which is exposed to the light rays.
