what is apparent position of stars please answer in simple meaning and also mention the meaning of apperent

Due to atmospheric refraction...the stars seems to higher in the sky than they actually are.as the light from the star comes down the denser air bends the light more. It seems to higher in the sky.

It is apparent position of star .

Apparent means that seems to be real or true but may not be.

during sky watching it seems that sun moves from east to west but in actual it is due to motion of earth around sun .this is called ecliptic and the motion of the sun is called apparent motion and if any star perceive behind the sun it will said to be apparent position of star
