Hey mate!
Archimedes' principle states that the upward buoyant force that is exerted on a body immersed in a fluid, is equal to the weight of the fluid that the body displaces.
In general terms, when a body is immersed in a fluid; suppose, a body is immersed in water. The amount of water that overflows or the increase in the level of water denotes the force that is acted upon this body in the upward direction. This force is Buoyant force. The magnitude of the buoyant force is equal to the amount of water displaced.
