Area monotone axiom states that if a polygon (P₁) having an area (R₁) is a subset of another polygon (P₂) having an area (R₂), then ar(R₁) ≤ ar(R₂).

AnswEr:

Firstly, recall what is area axiom ?

= Every polygonal region has an area, measured in square units.

The area of polygonal region in square metres, written as or sq.m., is a positive real number

The area of a polygonal region R is denoted by "ar (R)". If ar (R) in square iis x , then we write "ar (R) = x m²".

\large\sf{\underline{\underline{Area\:Montone\:Axiom:-}}}

If \sf{R}_{1}, \sf{R}_{2} are two polygonal regions such that \sf{R}_{1} is a part of \sf{R}_{2}, then

  \qquad\tt \: ar(r_1) \leqslant ar(r_2)
