  • Area of triangle is 336 cm².

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

  • Sides of triangle are 26 cm, 28 cm and 20 cm.

To find:-

  • Area of triangle.

Solution:-

  • If height is not given. So, We use heron's formula.

Heron's formula,

Area of triangle = s(s - a)(s - b)(s - c)

In which,

  • s is semi-perimeter of triangle.
  • a, b and c are sides of triangle.

So,

s = Perimeter/2

s = 26 + 28 + 30/2

s = 84/2

s = 42.

Semi-perimeter of triangle = 42 cm.

Area of triangle :

= √42(42 - 26)(42 - 28)(42 - 30)

= √42 × 16 × 14 × 12

= √3×2×7×2×2×2×2×2×7×2×2×3

= 3 × 7 × 2 × 2 × 2 ×2

= 336

Therefore,

Area of triangle is 336 cm².
