what is area of Rhombus? give example

Area of rhombus
=
 \frac{1}{2}  \times (product \:  \:of \: diagonals)
For example if diagonals of rhombus are 16 cm and 8 cm
then area is
 \frac{1}{2}  \times 16 \times 8 \\  = 8 \times 8 \\  = 64  \:  \: {cm}^{2}
