Areolar connective tissue holds organs in place and attaches epithelial tissue to other underlying tissues. It also serves as a reservoir of water and salts for surrounding tissues .

Almost all cells obtain their nutrients from and release their wastes into areolar connective tissue.

Anatomical terminology. Elastic fibers (or yellow fibers) are bundles of proteins (elastin) found in extracellular matrix of connective tissue and produced by fibroblasts and smooth muscle cells in arteries. These fibers can stretch up to 1.5 times their length, and snap back to their original length when relaxed.

The function of white fibrous tissue is to connect structures of the body together while providing support and shock absorption to the structures. Examples of these include ligaments and tendons, which connect bones and muscles.

Answer:

areolar connective tissue is the most widely distributed connective tissue in the body having jelly like sticky matrix irregular shaped cell and two kinds of fibre white fibre made up of collagen and yellow fibre made up of elastin

nature

as the name suggests that issue is a loose and circular connective tissue it matrix contents of two fibres as I told upside only white fibre with change in to gelatin on boiling in water and yellow elastin fibre or elastin pulser scattered in matrix are several kinds of irregular cells example fibroblast some of which can bacteria and prevent in infection example macrophages

occurrence

it is the simplest and most widely distributed connective tissue it joins skin to muscles, fills space inside organ ,and is found around muscles blood vessels and nerves

functions

1. it helps in repair of tissue after an injury

2. it also helps in combating foreign toxins

3. it fixes skin to underlying muscles
