arteries are thick- walled and Elastic blood vessels which carry blood away from the heart to distribute throughout the body. most of them are deeply-seated with narrow lumen except few ones where we feel pulse. the blood in arteries flow at high speed and pressure. blood in the arteries flow with jekes due to pumping activity of the heart.

AORTA is the largest artery in the body .

arteries generally carry oxygenated blood except Pulmonary artery which transport deoxygenated blood from the heart to lungs......
