aryl groups are from class of aromatic compounds and the aliphatic groups are non aromatic..
eg:- isobutyl is a alkyl grp whereas phenyl is a aryl grp

Aromatic hydrocarbons are called arenes. Aryl group is derived from arenes and represented as 'Ar'.

b)Phenyl group :- C6H5 is called Phenyl group benzene was originally called phene and the phenyl group is derived from benzene.
