The ASA (Angle-Side-Anglepostulate states that if two angles and the included side of one triangle are congruent to two angles and the included side of another triangle, then the triangles are congruent. (The included side is the side between the vertices of the two angles.)

Triangles are congruent if any two angles and their included side are equal in both triangles. There are five ways to test that two triangles are congruent. This is one of them (ASA).
