This type of reproduction occurs in prokaryotic microorganisms such as bacteria.This also occurs in some single cellular and multi-cellular organisms.
Asexual Reproduction produces offspring that are genetically identical to the parents because the offspring are clones of the original parent(i.e their DNA does not have much variations).
