Asexual reproduction is a type of reproduction by which offspring arise from a single organism, and inherit the genes of that parent only; it does not involve the fusion of gametes, and almost never changes the number of chromosomes

Asexual reproduction :

Asexual reproduction is the form of reproduction that only needs one parent.

Many simple animals reproduce  without mating.

Some just bud up small parts of themselves, whilst other develop from unfertilised eggs.

Asexual reproduction is usually simple and fast and produce offspring with exactly the same blueprint or genotype as the parent.

The offspring is therefore a clone with exactly the same genes as the parent.

The offspring grows up to have the same characteristics as the parent.
