Hi,dear your answer is:

Asexual reproduction is a type of reproduction which does not involve the fusion of gametes or change in the number of chromosomes.

It's types and explanation are:

1.Fission-Reproduction in unicellular organisms mostly occurs by fission. In tjis reproduction an organism divides into two and two into four and so on.Fission is very commonly in Amoeba, yeast etc.

2.Budding-In budding an outgrowth or bid is produced from the parents body. The bud grows and assumes the form and size of the parents. It is done by hydra, yeast etc.

3.Sporulation-In this method the organism germinate with spores. In some lower non-flowering plants like fetn and mucor, spores are formed.

4.Vegetative propagation-In this method organism grow on through vegetative part of matured plant. For eg.sweet potato, ginger etc.

5.Regeneration-In this method parents body break into two or more fragments and each fragment develops into new individual. For eg.Tapeworm, hydra etc.

Cysts are closed capsule or sac-like structures, typically filled with a liquid, semisolid, or gaseous material, much like a blister. Cysts vary in size from microscopic to very large. Very large cysts can displace internal organs. The majority are benign, but some cysts can be cancerous or precancerous.

Functions of cysts is The body encapsulates those cells to try to prevent them from continuing their division and to try to contain the tumour, which becomes known as a cyst.

Hope this helps u a lot..sorry I don't know more about cysts....

Answer:

Asexual Reproduction

The production of a new organism from a single parent without the involvement of sex cells (or gametes) is is called Asexual reproduction.

Some of the examples of asexual reproduction are: binary fission in Ameoba; budding in Hydra; spore formation in Rhizopus fungus (or bread mould); regeneration in Planaria (flatworm); fragmentation in Spirogyra and vegetative propagation in flowering plants (like rose plants).

4. Regeneration

In some organism (plants as well as animals) small cut parts of their body can grow (or regenerate) to from whole new organisms complete in all respects. The process of getting back a full organism from its body parts is called regeneration. The simple animals like Hydra and Planaria

show regeneration. This means that in these organisms,

whole new organisms can be reproduced from their cut body parts. In other words, if Hydra or Planaria somehow get cut into a number of pieces, then each body piece can grow into a complete organism.

5. Fragmentation

Some of the multicellular organisms having relatively simple body organisation can break up easy into to smaller pieces (or fragments) on maturing. These pieces or fragments can then grow and form new organisms complete in all respects. This is another method of reproduction called 'fragmentation' which can be defined as follows: The breaking up of the body of a simple multicellular organism, into two (or more) pieces on maturing each of which subsequently grows to form a complete new organism is called fragmentation.

Organisms like Spirogyra and sea anemones can reproduce by the method of fragmentation.

Please note that the main difference between fission and fragmentation is that in fission, a unicellular organism breaks up to form two (or more) daughter organisms, whereas in fragmentation a multicellular organism breaks up to form two (or more) daughter organisms.

6. Vegetative Propagation

Vegetative propagation is an asexual method of reproduction. The reproduction by vegetative propagation occurs only in plants. In vegetative propagation, new plants are obtained from the the parts of old plants (like stem roots and leaves) without the help of any reproductive organs.

What is cyst? What are the functions of cyst?

A microbial cyst is a resting or dormant stage of a microorganism, usually a bacterium or a protist or rarely an invertebrate animal, that helps the organism to survive in unfavorable environmental conditions.
