Definition: The associative property states that you can add or multiply regardless of how the numbers are grouped. By 'grouped' we mean 'how you use parenthesis'. In other words, if you are adding or multiplying it does not matter where you put the parenthesis.

Associative property is true for both addition and multiplication.

eg : 3+5+8

it is ok if you add 3 and 5 first then 8 to it or you can and 5 and 8 first then add three to it.The value will not change

Multiplicative inverse of a number is the number with which it should be multiplied to get 1 .The multiplicative inverse of any number X is 1/X because (X)(1/X)=1
