astigmatism is an eye defect .in this defect a person cannot focus on both horizontal as well as vertical lines at the same time so the person can see objects clearly only in one plane . this defect is mainly due to the cornea that is not perfect . this defect can be corrected using cylindrical lense

Astigmatism is a defect of eye in which only some parts of the object is focused clearly while others are blurred .
It is caused due to the uneven curvature of the lens .
It may be corrected by using Cylindrical lens
