Answer:

Layers of the atmosphere. The atmosphere is comprised of layers based on temperature. These layers are the troposphere, stratosphere, mesosphere and thermosphere. A further region at about 500 km above the Earth's surface is called the exosphere.

atmosphere is the envelope of air surrounding the earth's surface which contains gases , dust particles and water vapour . it is the blanket of air which surrounds or protects the earth.

the layers of the atmosphere are troposphere , sratosphere , mesosphere , ionosphere and exosphere .....

troposphere is the first layer  - it extends 18km fromthe equator and 8km from the poles. all the weather phenomena occur in this layer...

stratosphere ..... extends to 50km of the earth's surface including the ozone layer

mesosphere.......80 kms from the earth's surface . meteors burn in this layer.

ionosphere......480kms from the earth's surface . ions are present in this layer which help in many ways

exosphere.....topmost layer has very less gravitational pull

hope it helps.....
