ATMOSPHERE

The atmosphere is the blanket of gases which surrounds Earth . It is held near the surface of the plently by the Earth's gravitational attraction.

HOW IS IT CONSTITUTED

when Earth formed 4.6 billon years ago from a hot mix of gases and solids , it had most no atmosphere.The surface was molten . As Earth cooled , an atmosphere formed mainly from gases spewed from volcanoes. It included hydrogen sulfide, methane, and ten to 200 years as much as carbon dioxide as today's atmosphere
